Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Peter started his career in the Construction and Engineering sector.

Peter moved from Belfast to Dublin in the 1970’s, to manage the Planning and Incentives division, of one of Ireland’s largest construction and engineering companies. Part of his entrepreneurship included forming his own marketing and property development company, which he continued to operate successfully for the next 14 years.

In 1988 Peter relocated from Ireland with his 4 children to Perth. They settled in City Beach for their first taste of Australia. Only a year later Peter purchased 4 large blocks amalgamating them to 4000sqm on The Esplanade, Scarborough. He then designed, developed, constructed and finally sold 52 luxury apartments that are famously known as “ Sandcastles on Scarborough”, overlooking that stunning beachfront.

Gaining so much joy from the Real Estate aspect of that development, Peter decided he wanted to continue his passion for real estate and quickly became the “go-to” agent in Perth’s western suburbs.

In 1994, Peter was invited to join Mack Hall as a director and has been one of the dominant real estate agents in the industry, selling over $2.5 billion worth of Real Estate to date.

What started as a hobby in 2006, Peter was interested in gold exploration and founded a company (now managed by his son Peter G Burns) which went on to be, a publicly unlisted enterprise owning a large suite of gold tenements and 3 goldmines.

Aside from his tremendous work ethic and a wealth of knowledgeable experience, Peter also enjoys a hobby or two and considers himself a keen oil painter (inspired by Amedeo Modigliani), enjoys music and playing the guitar.

Peter has been the western suburbs’ number-one agent and is rated second in Western Australia, selling in excess of $111 million worth of property last financial year. *REIWA value sold 2014/15.
